On December 16, 2024, at 5:00 PM, an online webinar on the topic "Accreditation and Evaluation in the Context of Transnational Education (TNE) between the United Kingdom and Bulgaria" will be held. The webinar aims to foster collaboration and deepen the understanding of TNE opportunities between the two countries. The event is organized by the British Council. More information, including a registration form, can be found on the Council's website:
This interactive session will bring together higher education institutions, agencies, and organizations from Bulgaria and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to discuss the dynamic development of transnational programs. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about:
- Successful examples of collaboration and challenges;
- Key frameworks for evaluation and accreditation in the context of transnational programs;
- Opportunities for networking and experience exchange.
The participation of representatives from Bulgarian higher education institutions interested in transnational partnerships with UK universities will be a valuable contribution to the discussions and will help better align quality standards and strategic partnerships.
In addition to stakeholders from Bulgaria, representatives of universities and agencies from the UK are also invited to participate. This online meeting will provide an opportunity to establish connections and for UK participants to learn more about the partnership between Bulgaria and the United Kingdom in the areas of internationalization and transnational higher education programs. The partnership remains a priority for the British Council and the British Embassy in Bulgaria.
This webinar follows events held in September 2024, where additional initiatives were successfully conducted with the support of the Council. These were organized by the National Agency for Evaluation and Accreditation in partnership with the British Council and the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education in the United Kingdom (QAA) as part of the international conference on social inclusion and micro-credentials organized by the Ministry of Education and Science under the joint "START" project. These initiatives included a workshop and discussion titled "Describing and Assessing the Global Transnational Education Landscape: Readiness of Local Institutions for TNE Partnerships and Evaluation of Transnational Programs."
