Committee on quality assurance of NEAA activities
In accordance with Article 12, para. 1 of the Statute of the NEAA, in relation with Article 2 of the Statue of the Rules of procedure of the Committee on quality assurance of NEAA activities and a decision of the dated 15.02.2025 (Protocol № 02) the composition of the Committee has been determined as follows:

1. Assoc. Prof. Silvia Tsvetanska – member of the Accreditation Council of NEAA, representative of the AC.

2. Assoc. Prof. Maria Kehayova-Stoycheva – member of the Accreditation Council of the NEAA, representative of the AC;
3. Prof. Stanimir Yotov – member of the AC, representative of the AC;
4. Prof. Nadya Zlateva – member of the Standing Committee on Natural Sciences, Mathematics, and Informatics, Representative of the Standing Committees;
5. Prof. Miroslav Nedelchev – Ministry of Education and Science, chief expert at the "Higher Education" directorate of the MES, representative of the MES;
6. Assoc. prof Lilyana Valcheva – Confederation of Independent Trade Unions of Bulgaria, representative of the National Assembly „Higher Education and Science" Committee, representative of the trade unions;

The Committee for Quality Assurance of the Activities of the NEAA has the following tasks:
- periodically analyses the practical implementation of the mechanisms set out in the Programme for the Implementation of Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG), adopted by the Accreditation Council of the NEAA (Protocol № 23/15.10.2015), ensuring independence, publicity, transparency, and accountability of the accreditation process, taking into account the opinions of students/doctoral students on the quality of education, as well as avoiding conflicts of interest;
- conducts periodic analyses of the activities of the Standing Committees on Higher Education Areas and the Standing Committee on Post-Accreditation Monitoring and Control regarding adherence to schedules and procedures for evaluation, accreditation, post-accreditation monitoring and control;
- analyses the internal and external recommendations collected for improving the quality of the Agency's activities through the mechanisms and procedures set out in the System of Quality Assurance in the Activities of the NEAA for gathering feedback;
- periodically analyses the need to update the regulatory framework of the NEAA in accordance with the application of ESG. Every six months, the Committee presents a report to the Accreditation Council with an analysis of the quality of the NEAA's activities and proposals for improvement;
- drafts an annual activity plan, which the Chairperson of the Committee informs the Accreditation Council about, ensuring publicity for the Committee's initiatives;
- carries out all its activities in accordance with the Rules of procedure of the Committee for Quality Assurance of the Activities of the NEAA
